I am a professional screenwriter born in Sichuan, China and I grew up in Dallas, Texas. I have a B.A. in creative writing from Brown University and an M.F.A. in fine arts from the University of New Orleans. I was a writer on a Snapchat original series that received a 2022 NAACP Image Awards nomination for best short form content and I advised a Sundance screenwriting course last year. This year I was able to pitch my TV series ideas to major streamers like Netflix and HBO.

I have 15+ years of teaching and tutoring experience with students of all ages, with a focus on middle school and high school. I tailor lesson plans to fit students’ needs and interests, using my background in the arts to motivate each student academically. Recent students of mine were accepted into Brown, Duke, and UCLA, among other universities. Younger students of mine have received the Scholastic Gold Key award and a full scholarship to Amherst’s summer writing program. In addition to English and academic/college essay prep tutoring, I also tutor Mandarin and creative writing.
