Born in Miami but raised in the Bay Arean ‘burbs, I majored in Film Studies at UC Santa Barbara and have been living in LA for a dozen years now. When I’m not tutoring, you might find me hiking or trail running in Griffith Park, bodyboarding in the Pacific, or running up and down a basketball court. And who knows…the next time you grab a video game controller for a lil’ break from studying, you might actually hear my voice coming out of your monitor.
ABOUT ME
MY TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I’ve been tutoring/teaching since 1994, and have received a lot of great feedback in the process. After they received his exam results, the mother of one of my ISEE students wrote, “He did a great job! Hard to believe how much progress he made. Thanks so much! You truly made a huge difference but even more importantly did it in such a low stress way.” And one of my ACT students — who increased his individual subject scores by as many as 41 percentile points — wrote, “I wanted to thank you again for helping me out with my ACT test prep. I would not have done as well as I did if I hadn’t received your help. It definitely paid off.”
MY TEACHING STYLE
I believe in encouraging independent thinking in my students. My goal is to enable them to become as self-sufficient as possible, and to motivate them to think creatively and critically. My skills and talents in the performing arts enhance my presentation, and my ability to make learning entertaining and engaging.
