I’m from Redding, a northern California town, but I’ve called Los Angeles home since 2014. I moved here to pursue my education and quickly fell in love with the city’s exciting diversity and endless opportunities. When I’m not tutoring, you can find me rollerskating on the beach, exploring new music, or cooking with my partner, Bennett.
ABOUT ME
MY TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I started as a TA in college, helping my peers with topics in physics. After graduating, I worked as an instructor at Mathnasium Learning Centers and eventually managed my own tutoring center for four years. During this time, I supported over 800 students in their STEM courses. I also led my center’s transition to online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, so I’m well-versed in keeping students engaged both in-person and online.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I understand that students often struggle due to gaps in understanding from previous school years. My approach focuses on identifying and filling these gaps, ensuring that learners build a solid foundation before tackling new topics. At the same time, I provide support with current homework assignments to help students feel successful and confident in their classes.
